Food + Agriculture

"More than 820 million people, or 1 in 9, do not have enough to eat. The majority of the world’s hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished."

- Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

JLH collaborates with local organizations across several countries, including Pakistan, India, and China, to offer food assistance to vulnerable populations. In Pakistan, our team distributes monthly food packages to widows and families facing hunger.

We also have opportunities for agricultural initiatives, including:

  • Facilitating the development of sustainable food systems in remote villages of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which includes establishing orchards, fish farming, and apiaries, as well as providing skills training.

  • Providing goats, cows, and pigs to families in Pakistan, the Congo, and other nations. This initiative not only creates employment opportunities but also helps alleviate poverty.

“I am a widow. My family had no food for the last several days, and my children were very hungry. Thank you to JLH, for providing us food so that we can survive.”
